Caeser B. Montemuro, of Newtown, PA died on Friday, February 18, 2011, at Manor Care Yardley. He was 93.
He was the beloved husband of the late Roseanne Marinucci Montemuro and grandfather of the late Robert Massaroni.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Antonio and Teresa Mauro Montemuro.
Caeser grew up in Philadelphia and graduated from Frankford High School. He then enlisted into the Army Air Force and served during World War II. After being honorably discharged and returning home, he immediately found a job with Sears before starting a career with the Naval Air Technical Services Facility (NATSF). He worked with them for over 25 years before retiring as one of their Procurement Analysts in the early 1970’s.
Throughout his life, Caeser was always active and physically fit. He constantly worked at staying in shape and would swim regularly. He was a tried and true Philadelphia sports fan, and was especially dedicated to the Phillies. More than all of that, he was a devoted father and grandfather who loved to spend time surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his children Rick Montemuro of Langhorne, Barbara Massaroni and her husband Roland of Trevose, and his sister Stella Sicilia of Cape May, NJ. He is also survived by his grandson Christopher Massaroni and his wife Kimberly and their children Gianna and Olivia and his granddaughter in law Valeria Massaroni. He will be missed by his family, extended family and many friends, with all of their hearts.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing, on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 from 10:00 am until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street Columbus, Ohio 15235-43214.
