Kathleen “Kay” Mayhew, 73 years young, has taken her place among the Angels on February 20, 2011.
She was born and raised in Philadelphia and has been a long time resident of Washington’s Crossing, PA. Kay’s life is remembered and celebrated by her husband of 51 years Ronald Mayhew. Also in celebration are Kay and Ronald’s three daughters and their respective husbands Kelly Mayhew-Grofe, Laura and her husband Timothy Whartenby, and Karen and her husband Jason Burton.
She has followed in the steps of her late brother and sister-in-law John and Terry Conrey. Her brother-in-law Giovanni Petri is also welcoming her arrival at the gates. She is thought of in fond memories by her three remaining sisters and their respective husbands. Sue and her husband Dr. Walter Dombkoski, Peggy, wife of Giovanni, and Carol and her husband Carl Riday.
Kay has left behind a shining example of living life to the fullest and filling the hearts of those around her with love to her six grandchildren as well as numerous nephews and nieces, and great-nephews and great-nieces.
For the unfortunate who did not know this wonderful lady, she possessed an ability to make everyone laugh with her one liners. She was also known to turn the floors of Atlantic City casinos into a race track as she made her way to her favorite slots. She enjoyed traveling to vineyards around the world with her husband and putting the finish to a perfect day with a well made Manhattan or glass of Champagne.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011 from 10:00AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00AM at St. George’s Church, 1370 River Rd., Titusville, NJ 08560. Interment will be Private.
