Dr. Herbert S. Carlin, D.Sc., R.Ph., on March 4, 2011, of Newtown, PA. Beloved husband of Mary Joan (nee Williams) and the late Ruth (nee Hanna) Carlin. Devoted father of Earl Carlin (Sarah), Catherine Van Orden (Ryan), Judith Marth (William), Mac Hampson (Jennifer), and Rebecca Parsons (Stewart). Also survived by his 12 grandchildren; Robert Phillip Carlin, Earl Scott Carlin, Hanna Shirrell Carlin, Alexis Ruth Bravakis, William P. Marth, Phillip R. Marth, Kaitlyn Marie Marth, Riley Carlin Marth, Bernadette Parsons, James Parsons, Andrew Parsons and Adelynn Hampson. Dr. Herbert S. Carlin was a nationally recognized Pharmacist. His career has been one of constant dedication to the pharmacy profession. His career spanned pharmacy practice in both community and hospital settings, including education, hospital administration and the pharmaceutical industry. He was also an active member and leader in pharmacy associations on an international, federal, state and local basis. His work contributed significantly to national accrediting bodies governing the practice of pharmacy. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Service on Wednesday 10:00 AM at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope, PA 18938.
