Thomas J. Sheridan, Jr., of Langhorne, died peacefully on Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at the age of 72.

Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Thomas J. Sr. and Elizabeth Coonan Sheridan. He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Eleanor T. Zagorski Sheridan.

Tom was a graduate of North Catholic High School, class of 1959. He was raised in the Kensington section of Philadelphia and has been a resident of Langhorne for the past 26 years. He has been a communicant and usher of the Church of St. Andrew.

Tom was a self employed general contractor for many years and a member of the R. V. Hennessy Council # 6145 Knights of Columbus. He was best known for his love of family and friendship to all. He looked forward to the quiet times with his faithful companion Heidi, his white German shepherd. Tom was a man of many talents; he was a fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He will be sadly missed.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his loving children, Patricia S. Montney (Stephen), Thomas D. Sheridan (Lynne), and Robert J. Sheridan (Salomeh). He is also survived by his brothers Joseph J. Sheridan (Marie), Richard J. Sheridan (Linda), Edward J. Sheridan (Nancy) and Paul J. Sheridan; and sister Elizabeth M. Sheridan. He is the proud grandfather of Zachary, Kendall, Hannah, William and Anna. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings on Sunday August 3, from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and on Monday August 4, from 8:15 am to 9:15 am in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and to his Funeral Mass 10:00am at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown.

Interment will follow in St. Dominic Cemetery, Phila.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
