Lorraine E. Harrigan, of Newtown, died surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at her residence.
She was 81.
She was the beloved wife of 61 years to Edward J. Harrigan and daughter of the late Edward and Florence Cella King and sister of the late Florence Harrigan; she was born in Philadelphia. Lorraine graduated from Little Flower High School in 1948.
Mrs. Harrigan is survived by her children, Eileen M. Hering of Lambertville, NJ and Edward J. Harrigan, II and his wife Stephanie of Ivyland. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Stephanie Steven, Matthew and Kevin and two great-granddaughters, Aonalei and Aiyana and her brother William Brader of Mt. Laurel.
Mrs. Harrigan was known for her caring, compassionate and non-judgmental nature. She enjoyed playing games, shuffleboard, cards and bingo but most especially time she spent with her loving family.
Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday March 16, from 8:30am until her Prayer Service 10:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
