Philip E. Dolan of Langhorne died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 82.

He was the beloved husband of Marianne E. Landy Dolan for 52 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Philip P. and Mabel Hodgson Dolan.

Mr. Dolan was a resident of Langhorne for the past 28 years and formerly lived in Northeast Philadelphia for 25 years. He graduated from Northeast Catholic High School for Boys, Class of 1946 and received his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from La Salle University in 1951. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army having served in combat with the grave registration division during the Korean War. He was employed by the City of Philadelphia and retired as Chief of Classification and Pay in 1983. After retiring he bought a consulting business, McCann Associates located in Langhorne, which he operated for 25 years. After retiring for the second time, Phil wanted to stay active and worked part time for the past six years as an Information Specialist at the Bucks County Conference and Visitor Center in Bensalem, PA. In his leisure time, he was a voracious reader and an avid Phillies fan.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his two daughters, Susan C. Bilotta and her husband, Christopher, of Lafayette Hill, PA and Lynne K. Brennan-Thiede and her husband, Stuart, of Newtown, PA and his brother, William Dolan and his wife, Agnes, of Havertown, PA. He is also survived by his three loving grandsons, Andrew & Brendan Bilotta and James Brennan.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, March 26, 2011, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at the Olde Church of Saint Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore Street, Newtown, PA 18940.

Interment will take place on Monday, March 28, 2011, at 11:30 AM at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Mary Medical Center, 1201 Langhorne-Newtown Road, Langhorne, PA 19047.
