Beulah Banks Newell, “Bea” of Holland, died peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2011, at Chandler Hall Hospice with her family at her side.

She was the beloved wife of 44 years to late John F. Newell. Born in Maryland, she was the daughter of Roland and Frances Ward Banks.

“Bea” as she was known to family and friends was a graduate of Rockville High School. She also attended Business School where she studied Fashion Merchandise. Bea worked as a merchandise manager for Woodward and Lothrop in Washington, DC. Before moving to Bucks County, she worked as a realtor in Morristown, NJ.

Bea was a faithful communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown. An active woman, she loved gardening, bridge, animals and golf, but what she really enjoyed was shopping. Her beloved family came first and foremost. No one could have wished for a more devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother. Her beautiful smile and gentle way will be sadly missed by all who came to know and love her.

She is survived by her caring children and their spouses: Kathleen Newell and her husband Richard Marshall, Karen Brindley and her husband Sam, Sharon Fawcett and her husband Carl, Timothy Newell and his wife Marie and Frances L.” Cindy” Newell and her partner Kate. She is also survived by her 9 cherished grandchildren and 1 great grandson.

Bea’s family will receive condolences on Saturday April 2, 2011 from 9:45am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am at the Olde Church of St. Andrew 135 Sycamore St. Newtown. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken.
