Robert L. Diegel, of Richboro, died on Friday, April 8, 2011, at his residence. He was 72.

He was the beloved husband of Kathleen McDonald Diegel and the late Patricia Knottek Diegel and father of the late Patricia Diegel.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Martin and Josephine Moffet Diegel.

Bob was a resident of Richboro for the past 26 years. He was a graduate of North Catholic High School and has been a communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Holland. He was the owner of Bob’s Sunoco Service Station at Hulmeville Rd. and Park Ave. in Bensalem for over 30 years, he retired in 1999. After retirement Bob went to work for Chandler Hall Health Care in Newtown in their Security Department for 10 years.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by his devoted children and their spouses; Catherine Arbiz and her husband Greg, Robert J. Diegel and his wife Jodie, Diane Martin and her husband Bill, Carrie Bloesch and her husband Fred, Amy Shuster and her husband Grant, Christopher Shepherd and Rebecca Shepherd. He was the much-loved Pop-Pop of Christopher, Jennifer, Kirsten, Brianna, Matthew, Jessica, Kim, Emily, Amy Kate, Julianne, Jack Robert, David and Jeannine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday evening, April 11, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and on Tuesday, April 12, from 8:30am to 9:15am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro, and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Richboro.

Interment will take place in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.
