Carmine A. Prato of Holland, PA died on Friday, April 15, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 70.

He was the beloved husband of Joyce M. Danks Prato for 47 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Baptist and Concetta Cafagna Prato.

Mr. Prato was a resident of Holland for the past 37 years. He graduated from Frankford High School in Philadelphia, Class of 1958. He served in the U.S. Army reserves from 1962 to 1968. For over 50 years, Carmine was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union, Local 19 in Philadelphia. He was a member of the union’s retirees club. In his leisure time, he enjoyed dabbling in the stock market and discussing finances. Being family oriented, he especially enjoyed the times spent with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children, Robert E. Prato and his wife, Wendy, of Richboro, Michael A. Prato and his wife, Theresa Casey, of Philadelphia, Lynne C. Prato and her husband, Scott Dwyer, of Furlong, and three sisters, Mary Grace Prato of Sarasota, FL, Roseanne Lupo of Warrington, and Elizabeth Finnegan of Southampton. He is also survived by his three loving grandchildren, Anthony, Maria, and Christina Prato and his mother-in-law, Ida Danks of Holland.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, from 8:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214
