Albert H. “Bud” Bachman, Jr, 82, of Wrightstown died peacefully on Friday, May 6, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne.

He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Anna May Gfelner Bachman. Born in Philadelphia he was the son of the late Albert H. Sr. and Rose A. Duncan Bachman and grandfather of the late Jason Starner.

Bud was a resident of Wrightstown for the past 30 years, having graduated from Frankford High School, class of 1948. He was well-respected and well-loved by his many, many, friends and his family.

Bud was the owner and founder of Bachman Volkswagen automobile dealership located in Hainesport, NJ, until his retirement in 1987. He was master mechanic who could make anything run, no matter how old or in disrepair. An avid pilot, Bud had his private pilot’s license and was a certified FAA mechanic. He enjoyed restoring and flying many different types of small aircraft.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is also survived by his five loving children; Joyce E. Berg of Iowa, Jill A. Ricca (Tom ) of Newtown, Albert H. Bachman, III (Diane) of Southampton, Susan J. Starner (Allen) of Ohio, Michael R. Bachman of Levittown. He is also survived by his sister Doris Hastings (Frank) of Yardley, his dear grandchildren; Sean, Jeff, Dan (Hannah), Ken, Jared, Michelle, Mark and Krissy, and his dedicated nephew Bob Meehan (Linda) of California.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewings Tuesday evening May 10, 2011 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm and on Wednesday May 11, from 9:30 am until his Funeral Service 10:30 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro. Interment will be in Newtown Cemetery, Newtown.
