Louis S. Farina of Doylestown died peacefully on Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Neshaminy Manor, Warrington. He was 95.

He was the beloved husband of the late Catherine McCormick Farina.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Francesco and Rose Statuti Farina.

Mr. Farina was a resident of Doylestown for the past 8 years and formerly lived in Northeast Philadelphia for many years. Before his retirement in 1988, he was employed by Dixon Valve Company in Philadelphia where he was the manager of the shipping and receiving department. He was a past president of Father Judge High School Fathers’ Association, former head of Crafton Athletic Club, and volunteered for many years at Northeast Boys Club in North Philadelphia. Mr. Farina enjoyed all types of sports whether he was coaching, playing or attending the sporting event. He was a family oriented man who loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.

He is survived by his three sons, Louis F. Farina and his wife, Margaret, of Bethany Beach, DE, Robert Farina and his wife, Judith, of Furlong, PA, and Richard G. Farina and his wife, Rebecca, of Blue Bell, PA. He is also survived by his 7 dear grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 16, 2011, from 10:00 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will be held privately.
