Mary de La Tour, of Warminster, PA died on Monday, May 9, 2011, at Doylestown Hospital. She was 67.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Eleanor Guth Grace, and sister of the late Leonard Grace Jr. and Stephen Grace.
Mary grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and was a long-time parishioner of Calvary Church. She loved being around people and so at a young age worked as a waitress. For many years she worked at LA Padella in Philadelphia, where she developed lots of relationships. Even after moving to Warminster 10 years ago, she continued waitressing, this time at Philly Crab and SteakHouse where she quickly made friends and established a group of regular customers.
She was a dedicated mother and grandmother who loved to take care of her family; especially during her favorite holiday, Thanksgiving. Her meal was a culinary masterpiece which took several days to prepare and allowed all her family and friends to enjoy with some leftover. Mary believed that family, food, and conversation was the foundation of a good life. Her passion for the simple things and time with her family and friends will always remembered and appreciated.
She is survived by her loving daughter Nicole Kreider and her husband Angelo of Dublin, and her 2 dear grandchildren Angelica and Nicholas.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings, Thursday, May 12, 2011 from 7:00 — 9:00 pm and Friday, May 13, 2011 from 9:00 until her Funeral Service 10:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (Route 202 & Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. Her interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to American Heart Association, Memorial Fulfillment Center, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, Ohio 43214-1127.
