Richard A. Dorwart of Wrightstown died on Wednesday, May 11, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA. He was 64.

He was the beloved husband of Patricia M. Driscoll Dorwart for 43 years.

Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of Florence Faux Dorwart of Warminster, PA and the late Earle Warren Dorwart.

Mr. Dorwart was a resident of Wrightstown for the past 21 years. He graduated from Neshaminy High School, Class of 1964 . He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during the Vietnam War. From 1977 until 1990, Mr. Dorwart owned and operated Northampton News Service and was a machinist for many years. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife. He was a family oriented man who enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He will be sadly missed as a loving husband, father, grandfather, son and brother.

In addition to his beloved wife and mother, he is survived by his four children, Stephen M. Dorwart and his wife, Andrea, of Mullica Hill, NJ, Michonne L. Frohnapfel and her husband, Rob, of Hockessin, DE, Nicole C. Galione and her husband, Chris, of Brandon, MS, and Danielle M. Dorwart and her husband, Frank Sundermeier, of Newtown, PA. He is also survived by two brothers, George Dorwart of Churchville , Kim Dorwart of Arizona and his 10 loving grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Sunday, May 15, 2011 from 3:00 PM until his Funeral Service 5:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P.O. Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250-0301.
