She was the beloved wife of the late Frank G. Wiegand. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late George and Irene Cunningham Coldwell.

Irene was a kindergarten teacher in the Council Rock School district for many years, having taught at both Churchville and Holland elementary schools.

Her faith was most important to her, for she gave her time and talents, as a member of the North and Southampton Reformed Church in Churchville, where she was an Elder, President of the Reformed Church Women, Sunday School Teacher and a strong advocate for Christian Education. She was a respected and loved leader and mentor to the women and youth of the church. A widow for over 18 years, she devoted herself to family and especially her dear grandchildren.
