Maryann Anderson Glowacki of Richboro, formerly of Holland, died peacefully on Monday, May 23, 2011 at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 78 years old.
Maryann was the beloved wife of 53 years to Stanley J. “Stan” Glowacki. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Anna Anderson and a graduate of J.W. Hallahan High School, class of 1951.
Maryann was a resident of Holland for 30 years before moving to Richboro in 2000. She was an avid reader and member of a vibrant Book Club and a Theater Club. Maryann was a communicant of St. Bede the Venerable Parish and was a faithful participant in Perpetual Adoration. She loved the church and actively supported many charitable causes.
Family came first and foremost in Maryann’s life; her legacy will be in her cherished family that she helped create and nurture. In addition to her beloved husband, Maryann is survived by her devoted children and their spouses: Annemarie Fisher and Leo, Stanley Glowacki Jr. and Maureen, Joseph Glowacki and Julia, Susan McNeill and Jack, James Glowacki and Dawn. She will be sadly missed by her 13 loving grandchildren: Christine, Sean, Stanley, Liam, Mairead, Kieran, Matthew, Owen, William, Tess, Alexa, Aidan and Ella. Maryann was the dear sister of Loretta Mullin, Delores Glenn, Janet Redmond, Thomas Anderson, James Anderson, Suzanne Barker, Maureen Hartman and the late Robert and Joseph Anderson and the loving sister-in-law of John and Helen Glowacki. She will be forever and fondly remembered by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings on Thursday evening May 26 from 7:00pm to 9:00pm and on Friday from 8:45 am to 10:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.( at Holland Rd.) Richboro and her Funeral Mass 10:30am at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro. Procession to Washington Crossing National Cemetery will form on Saturday morning May 28, at 8:15am at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to St. Bede the Venerable Capital Campaign Fund, 1071 Holland Rd. Holland, PA 18966.
