Catherine A. Rutkowski of North Hills, PA died peacefully on Friday, June 3, 2011, at her daughter’s residence surrounded by family and friends. She was 71.
She was the beloved wife of 53 years to the late James E. Rutkowski who died in March of this year and daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine Goode Fisher and sister of the late Lois Seagraves.
Born in Philadelphia, Catherine was a resident of North Hills since 1965 and a faithful communicant of Queen of Peace Church, Ardsley.
Catherine worked as a receptionist for the Robert J. Stillwell Insurance Agency for several years. Family came first and foremost in Catherine’s life, her husband, children and grandchildren were her passion, she enjoyed cooking, working in her garden, reading and especially family trips to the Jersey shore. She will be sadly missed by her loving family and friends.
Catherine is survived by her four devoted children, Michael E. Rutkowski of Perkasie, Donna L. Clarkson and her husband, Frank, of Warrington, James V. Rutkowski and his wife, Victoria, of Franconia Township, and Edward P. Rutkowski and his wife, Gretchen, of Sterling, VA., her Sister Sue Duden of Harleysville. She is also survived by her four loving grandchildren: Paul, Lauren, Alexander and Natalie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Monday, June 6, 2011, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901 and to her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, 10:30 AM at Queen of Peace Church, 820 North Hills Ave. Ardsley, PA 19038. Interment will take place at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
