John R. Delp of Warminster died Saturday, June 4, 2011, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family. He was 66.

John was the beloved husband of Betty McDaniel Delp with whom he shared 38 joyful years of marriage.

He was born in Hatboro, PA, the son of the late William and Elizabeth Howe Delp.

He is the cherished father of three daughters and a son - Linda Delp, Cindy Lewis (Kyle), John Delp (Jen) and Michelle Blades (Justin). He was the adored brother of Bob (Joyce) Delp and the late William Delp. He was the fun loving Poppy of Isabella, Johnny, Chase, Cole, Makenna, Desmond, Cooper, Jordan and the late Brendan.

John was a resident of Warminster for 38 years and worked at Fischer & Porter for 43 years. He graduated from Upper Moreland High School, where he loved playing sports.

He was known for his sense of humor, playfulness, and his love of sports. He actively played sports up until a few years ago. He was a fan of all Philadelphia sports teams, a diehard baseball fan and Phillies season ticket holder. He spent countless hours and years as a coach for Warminster Sports and Nativity of our Lord CYO. John also loved the beach and spending time with family and friends. He will be deeply missed as a devoted and cherished Husband, Dad, Brother, Poppy, Uncle and Friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 6-8pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland) Richboro, PA 18954 and to his Funeral Mass, 11:00am, Monday, June 13, 2011, at Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 West Street Road, Warminster, PA 18974.

Interment will follow at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PO Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202.
