Ruth Smith Skillman of Newtown, PA died peacefully on Friday, June 24, at Neshaminy Manor in Warrington.

She was 80.

Born in Rocky Hill, NJ she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Martha Jennings Smith and mother of the late Lynn R. Simpson.

Ruth Skillman has been a resident of Newtown for over 25 years. Prior to moving to Newtown, she grew up and raised her family in Princeton, NJ. Since her retirement from Walter B. Howe Inc. of Princeton, Ruth has enjoyed spending time gardening and spending time with her beloved grandchildren creating fond memories. She will be sorely missed by everyone who has had the pleasure to know and love her.

Ruth is survived by her loving children; Michael V. Skillman and Rose of Skillman, NJ, William T. Skillman of Honolulu, HI, Heidi A. Skillman of Cummings, GA and Jeffrey Skillman and Karen of Perkasie. She is also survived by her brother Thomas B. Smith of NJ and her 7 grandchildren Jaclyn, Christopher, Lindsey, Justin, Kaitlyn, Kirsten, and Jonathan.

Ruth’s family will receive condolences on Friday, July 1 beginning at 10:00 AM. Her Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954. Interment to follow at Rocky Hill Cemetery, Rocky Hill, NJ.
