Joseph M. Pancari of Glenmoore and Merion Station PA died peacefully on Friday, July 1, 2011, at Chandler Hall, Newtown, PA.

He was 93 and a WW II Veteran.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the eldest child of the late Matteo and Rose Spinelli Pancari. He was one of five brothers, Carmen (deceased), Albert (deceased), Vincent, and Anthony. He also had two sisters, Frances Greco and Marion Greenidge (deceased).

He was the beloved husband of the late Sarah (nee Parico) with whom he founded a children’s clothing manufacturing business that sold nationwide to top retailers.
In his retirement, he was an active member of St. Peter’s Church and the Knights of Columbus. He helped found the St. Peter’s Church Scholarship Fund which continues to provide financial assistance to deserving children. He will be remembered as a true Good Samaritan who touched the lives of many people in their time of need.

He is survived by his four daughters, Roselynn Calio and husband Nicholas, of Doylestown, PA, Denise Pancari and husband Stephen King, of Princeton, NJ, Linda Pancari and husband, Enrico Turconi, of Como, Italy, and Jacqueline Pancari and husband, David Fredrickson, of Alfred, NY. and his three loving grandchildren, Stephanie Turconi, Christopher and Monica King.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Saturday, July 9, 2011, at 9:30 AM at St. Peter’s Church, 2835 Manor Road, West Brandywine, PA 19344. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon, PA.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Peter’s Church Scholarship Fund at the above address.
