Mary Curran McIlhenny of Doylestown, PA died peacefully on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was 99.

She was the beloved wife of the late William T. McIlhenny.

Born in County Cavan, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Catherine McGarvey Curran.

Mrs. McIlhenny was a resident of Heritage Towers in Doylestown for the past four years. She was a licensed practical nurse who worked at Sacred Heart Manor in Germantown and in private duty for many years. In her leisure time she enjoyed knitting sweaters and afghans and listening to talk shows on the radio. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

She is survived by her two children, Mary K. McKeogh and her husband, Edward P. Jr., of New Hope and William T. McIlhenny Jr. of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her 8 loving grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Tuesday, July 26, 2011, from 10:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. Interment will be held privately.
