Eileen S. McNamee and for many years known as Sr. Michael Gerald SSJ died peacefully on Saturday July 23, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She was 77.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine Collins McNamee, dear friend of the late Rosemary G. Sheridan, and sister of the late Gerald H. and John J. McNamee.
Miss McNamee was a proud 1952 graduate of Little Flower High School where she was an accomplished basketball standout. She was a devoted Sister of St. Joseph for over 24 years and since departing the convent, she devoted her life to teaching young adults at Thomas Edison High School in Philadelphia for many years.
Eileen is survived by her brother Bernard M. McNamee and his wife Nancy of Bonita Springs, FL, her sister Sheila M. Connor and her husband James of Holland, PA, her sister-in-law Hannah McNamee of Philadelphia, PA, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 9:00AM until her Funeral Mass 10:00AM at the St. Mary Chapel at D’Youville Manor, 1750 Quarry Rd., Yardley, PA 19067.
Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Cheltenham, PA.
