Denise M. McCarthy Daly, of Hatboro formerly of Churchville died on Thursday, July 28, 2011, at Abington Hospice at Warminster after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was 47.

Born in Philadelphia, she was the beloved daughter of Bernard McCarthy and his wife Mary of South Carolina and Margaret T. Ward Donahue and the late Leo Donahue of Warminster.

Denise was a resident of Hatboro for the past few years having formerly resided in Churchville for 13 years. She was a graduate of Central Bucks East High School, class of 1981 and Delaware Valley College in 1986 with her degree in Biology. Denise received her Masters in Education from the College of New Jersey in 1989 and had been a Science teacher at Hamilton High School West for the past 21 years where she was loved by her students and faculty.

Denise was a communicant of St. John Bosco Church in Warminster and a friend of St. Vincent de Paul Church, Richboro. She enjoyed the outdoors especially working her garden. She will be sadly missed by her loving and devoted family, colleagues and former students.

In addition to her parents; she is survived by devoted children; Douglas J. Daly Jr., Sarah C. Daly, Rebecca L. Daly, and Elisabeth M. Daly, her 2 brothers, Bernard McCarthy of Warminster, Keith McCarthy of Hamburg NJ, and one sister Christine M. McCarthy of Pipersville.

Denise’s family will receive condolences on Wednesday evening August 3, from 7:00pm to 9:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Church 654 Hatboro Rd. Richboro from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:00am.

Rite of Committal will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.

In lieu of Flowers contributions in her memory maybe made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 125 S. 9th St. Suite 202 Phila PA 19107
