Lucy Marie Capozzoli passed away on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the home of her daughter, Joyce McGill, in New Hope, PA. She was 93.
Born December 14, 1917 in Philadelphia, she was a lifelong resident of the city. In addition to her daughter, Joyce, she is survived by her son, Pat Capozzoli, son-in-law, Frank McGill, grandsons, Brendan McGill and Todd Capozzoli, great-granddaughter, Samantha McGill, and great-grandsons, Ethan and Grant Capozzoli. Lucy's husband, Clement H. Capozzoli, passed away in March, 1976. Her loving grandson, Christopher McGill died in September, 2001.
Lucy was happiest in the company of her family.
She enjoyed the friendship of many of her fellow residents at Roosevelt House.
Lucy loved to dance and to teach others, appreciated music, wrote poetry, and relaxed often with vintage films and TV shows. She was an avid reader, especially of spiritual books, and was a devout Catholic.
Lucy’s family will receive condolences on Saturday from 9:00am until her Funeral Mass 10:00am at the Olde Church of St. Andrew 135 S. Sycamore St. Newtown, Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory may be made to the Crossroads Hospice, 300 Lakeside Dr. Suite 120 Horsham PA 19044.
