Elmer C. Hampton of Holland, PA, and formerly of Warminster, Hulmeville and Bristol, passed away on Monday, August 15, 2011, at Twining Village in Holland. He was 88.

He was the beloved husband of the late Marie A. Hampton for 63 years who preceded him in death this past April and they are now reunited in God’s love.

Born in Bristol, PA, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Mary E. Rousseau Hampton, brother of the late Francis, George, Florence, and Ida Hampton, and grandfather of the late Douglas and Lisa Borenstein.

He was a combat veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Europe during World War II. Professionally, he had a long career with the Neshaminy School District, retiring as Director of Buildings and Grounds. An active member of the community, he was a lifetime member of the William Penn Fire Company. He was passionate about music and was an orchestra leader and drummer. He enjoyed travel and golf, but most of all he loved being with his dear friends and family.

He is survived by his five loving children; Frank Hampton and his wife, Eileen, of Cranbury, NJ, Virginia Borenstein and her husband, Richard, of Yorktown, VA, Joanne Carpenter and her husband, Charles, of Chalfont, PA, Thomas Hampton and his wife, Rosemary, of Doylestown, PA and Nancie Miller and her husband, John, of Chalfont, PA. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Earl Hampton of Croydon, PA, his 8 grandchildren, Jaclyn Colfer (Joseph), Michael Hampton (Kimberly), Diane Hampton, Jeffrey Borenstein (Sarah), Gregory Borenstein, Charles Carpenter (Kristen), Christine Wichner (Joseph), and Rebecca Carpenter (Ryan) and his 6 great grandchildren; Luke, Benjamin, Lillian, Adeline, Justin and Isaac.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Friday, August 19, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road) Richboro, PA 18954 and Saturday, August 20, 2011, from 9:00 AM until his Concelebrated Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA.

Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
