Eva C. Leomporra of Churchville, PA died peacefully on Tuesday, August 23, 2011, at Chandler Hall Hospice. She was 92.
She was the beloved wife of the late Peter R. Leomporra Sr.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Ellen Burns Herr.
Mrs. Leomporra was a resident of Churchville for the past 22 years. She was a graduate of Penn Treaty High School in Philadelphia. Eva was an active member at Benjamin H. Wilson Senior Community Center in Warminster where she volunteered in various capacities for 21 years. At the Senior Center she was very active with RSVP and won numerous awards for giving her time and talent. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crocheting, needlework and all kinds of crafts. She also liked bowling, square dancing and line dancing. She will be sadly missed as a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her four children: Gemma M. Altomari and her husband, Michael, of Warminster, Peter Leomporra and his wife, Susan, of Bristol Township, Michael J. Leomporra and his wife, Susan, of Churchville, and Howard J. Leomporra of Perkasie. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Michael J. Altomari Jr. and his wife, Kathryn, Brian D. Altomari, Lisa Leomporra-Whelan and her husband, Brian, Paul Leomporra, Katie Leomporra, and Michael J. Leomporra Jr. and two great grandchildren: Margaret O. Whelan and Samantha G. Altomari.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Saturday, August 27, 2011, from 9:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954. Interment will take place at Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Benjamin H. Wilson Senior Community Center, 580 Delmont Avenue, Warminster, PA 18974.
