Marie B. Sullivan Sanwald of Holland died peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2014, surrounded by her family at Twining Village in Holland. She was 96.
She was the beloved wife of Glendyne Sanwald for 71 years.
Born in Horsham, PA she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine Casey Sullivan.
Marie was a resident of Churchville for 64 years before moving to Twining Village in 2005. She was a faithful communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro and a member of the Women’s Club. Marie worked most of her working life as a waitress. She was a member of the Northampton Senior Center, where she made many friends, and was very creative with ceramics. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her two loving daughters, Patricia A. Marx and her husband, Ed, of West Grove, PA and Barbara Stehlik of Quakertown, PA. She is also survived by her 4 devoted grandchildren, Jennifer M. Steich, Charles J. Stehlik IV, Edward R. Marx and Timothy M. Marx and 6 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet the family from 11:00 AM until her Funeral Mass 12:00 Noon on Thursday, August 21, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954.
Interment will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
