Joan A. Grant of Holland, PA died peacefully on Monday, August 18, 2014, at Twining Village surrounded by her family. She was 79.
She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Grant for 59 years.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Anna M. Oldroyd Morgan.
Mrs. Grant was a resident of Twining Village for the past 5 years and formerly lived in Churchville for 38 years. Before retiring in 1995, she was employed as the head cashier for K-Mart in Warminster for 20 years. She was a faithful member of North & Southampton Reformed Church and a loyal member of New Goods of America, Southampton Branch. In her leisure time Joan enjoyed reading and crocheting. Family came first and foremost in her life and she always enjoyed the special times spent with her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her beloved husband, she is survived by her four children, Richard J. Grant Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Chalfont, Donna L. Tweed and her husband, David, of Churchville, Joanne E. McMullen and her husband, Christopher, of Southampton, and Mark W. Grant and his wife, Michele, of York, NE. She is also survived by her five loving grandchildren, Jill, Matthew, Nicole, Elizabeth and Frankie and was eagerly awaiting the birth of her first great grandchild in February.
Joan’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, August 23, 2014, from 11:00 AM until her Memorial Service at 12:00 Noon at North & Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Road, Churchville, PA 18966. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to North & Southampton Reformed Church at the above address, or NGA Inc., Southampton Branch, 822 Veterans Way, Warminster, PA 18974 or to Twining Village Benevolent Fund, 280 Middle Holland Road, Holland, PA 18966.
