Victoria M. Green of New Hope, PA died on Monday, October 17, 2011, at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. She was 49.
She was the beloved wife of Charles R. Green for 13 years.
Born in Drexel Hill, PA, she was the daughter of John L. and Wanda B. Smith of Glen Mills, PA.
Victoria was a resident of New Hope for the past 12 years. She graduated from the University of Delaware, Class of 1983, with her bachelor degree in Education and went on to receive her Master of Arts in Mathematics from Villanova University in 1989. She was employed as the business administrator for Crossing Cooperative Nursery School in Washington Crossing for four years. Victoria was a founding member of Team Relentless and the Relentless Dragon Boat Association in Bucks County. She also coached girls’ lacrosse for Council Rock Lacrosse Association for three years.
Family was first and foremost in her life. She was always involved with her children’s activities and enjoyed spending special times with her family and friends. She was a fierce competitor, fighter and loyal friend. She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she is survived by her three children, Sabrina, Harry, and Ben Green, her three brothers, Geoffrey Smith and his wife, Laureen, of West Chester, Eric Smith and his wife, Dawn, of West Chester, and Andrew Smith and his wife, Kimberly, of Chadds Ford, PA. She is also survived by her 4 nieces and 6 nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday evening, October 21, 2011, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901 and to her Funeral Service on Saturday, October 22, 2011, at 3:00 PM at Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1680 Aquetong Road, New Hope, PA 18938.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Thompson Memorial Presbyterian Church at the above address, to the Janet P. Shaner Memorial Scholarship Fund, 28 W. Market Street, West Chester, PA 19382 or gifts can be made to support breast cancer research at Penn’s Abramson Cancer Center and mailed to Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
