Louis J. Sabatini of Newtown died Monday, October 17, 2011 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 84.
Louis was the beloved husband of 60 years to Frances Sorge Sabatini.
Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John Quentin and Anna Intille Sabatini and father and father-in-law of the late Marianne and Frank Heebner and brother of the late Sally Ann Intille and Jeannine Garifo.
Louis was a former resident of Plymouth Meeting before moving to Newtown in 1996. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving during World War II and eventually attended and graduated LaSalle University on a basketball scholarship. Louis was an Analytical Chemist with Amchem Products, Inc. in Ambler, PA for over 30 years until his retirement. While residing in Plymouth Meeting, he volunteered his time in the Community. He served as a Judge of Elections and also as President of the Civic Association. Louis was a Communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown and enjoyed music, gardening, fishing and was an avid reader. He will be deeply missed by his family and by all who came to know him.
In addition to his beloved wife Frances, Louis is survived by his children, Michele Petrillo and her husband Dr. Charles Petrillo of Washington Crossing, PA and Dr. John Sabatini and his wife Gabriella of Wrightstown, PA. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Christian, Gabriele, Jessica, Erica, Brianna, Callista, Catherine and Giavonna and his many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday, October 20, 2011 from 9:30am until his Funeral Mass 11:00am at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Road, Newtown.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to The Marion Bolger Recreational Program/Special Needs Children at Saint Davis Parish, 314 North Easton Road, Willow Grove, PA 19090.
