Mills C. Braunlich of Richboro, PA died peacefully on Saturday, November 5, 2011. He was 81.

He was the beloved husband of the late Josephine M. Braunlich for 49 years.

Born in New York, NY, he was the son of the late Mills W. and Anna Ruth Braunlich.

Mills was a 1947 graduate of Central High School in Philadelphia. After high school he attended NYU, was a Corporal in the US Army, and a graduate of Temple University. Mills graduated Temple University with a degree in journalism, something he used frequently throughout his life.

He started his working career with the Daily Intelligencer where he worked until 1959. He left his job as a staff writer at the Daily Intelligencer to begin a new career working for the Bucks County Department of Health. He worked at the Department of Health until his retirement in 1985.

Mills enjoyed lots of things in life but his passion for journalism, literature, and chess remained strong throughout his lifetime.

He is survived by his two sons, John Braunlich and his wife, Tricia, of Havertown, PA, Ian Braunlich and his wife, Cathy, of Canada, and his three loving grandchildren, Paige R., Matthew R., and Malwina G. Braunlich. He is also survived by his two sisters-in-law, Rose Callahan of Claymont, DE and Emanuella G. Foraker of Lewisburg, FL, and his two brothers-in-law, Joseph M. Frezza of Willow Grove and Michael F. Frezza of Altoona, PA.

His family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, November 12, 2011, from 9:00 AM until his Liturgical Prayer Service 10:00 AM at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Road, Richboro, PA 18954.

His interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Richboro.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Church at the above address.
