Aixiang “Jane” Jin of Chalfont, PA died peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2011, with her husband by her side at Doylestown Hospital. She was 45.
She was the beloved wife of Zhongqiang “William” Zheng for 23 years. Born in China, she was the daughter of Gengyu Jin and Chunlian Zhang of China.
Aixiang, “Jane” as she was known to her many friends, was a resident of Chalfont for the past 11 years. In 1994, she immigrated to the United States. Before coming to this country, Jane graduated from Shandong University in China, Class of 1988, where she earned her bachelor degree in American Literature and Linguistics. After graduation she taught English for six years at the university. After settling in the United States, she began her second career as a registered nurse. Jane attended South Plains College in Levelland, Texas where she completed her associate degree in nursing and later went on to graduate from Gwynedd Mercy College, Class of 2004, with her bachelor of science degree in nursing. She was employed at Doylestown Hospital as a registered nurse for 10 years.
Her sensitivity showed through in both her personal life and her career. Jane was always concerned about others before herself. During her illness when someone would ask how she was feeling, she would reply by saying, “Don’t worry about me, how are you doing?” Her interests in life included reading, hiking, classical music, travelling, and all types of art.
She will be sadly missed as a loving wife, daughter, sister and friend to all who came to know her.
In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she is survived by her three brothers, Gengxia Jin, Gengrui Jin, and Gengguang Jin.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday evening, November 16, 2001, from 6:00 PM until her Memorial Service 7:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (Route 202 at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to be sent to Doylestown Hospital Department Office (Memorial Gifts), 595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901 for a nursing scholarship to be established in memory of Aixiang Jane Jin.
