Mary Dudas, formerly of Holland, PA, and lovingly known to her family and friends as Aunt Dimples, lived a vibrant life and died peacefully on Saturday, November 19, 2011. She was 95.
Born in Coatesville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Mary Sherokman. In 1953 she married the late Michael Dudas and moved to his farm in Girard, PA. She was well known in the community for her excellent cooking and baking as well as her volunteer activities. A regular at the polls on Election Day, Mary was also recognized by the Red Cross for her thirty years of volunteer service. Mary enjoyed her occasional trips to the casinos. She will be remembered for her kindness and generosity.
Mary is survived by her devoted niece, Frances Smith, whom she loved like a daughter, and her husband, John, of Holland, her nephew, Richard Segelski and his wife, Donna, of Philadelphia and her many great nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday, November 25, 2011, from 8:15 AM to 9:15 AM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro and to her Funeral Mass 10:00 AM at St. Bede Venerable Church, 1071 Holland Road, Holland.
Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St Bede the Venerable Memorial Fund at the above address or St Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
