Robert E. Clark, of Twining Village in Holland, PA, died peacefully on Friday, August 22nd, at his residence. He was 86.

He was the beloved husband of 59 years to Rosalie Welker Clark.

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Springfield, Robert was the only child of the late Claude P. and Rose Bedenk Clark.

Mr. Clark was a proud veteran of the Army who served during World War II in the Japan occupation forces. He received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Villanova University and later went on to receive a Master’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Drexel University. Robert was an accomplished Metallurgical Engineer who received numerous U.S. Patents for his achievements during his tenure at Westinghouse Steam Turbine Division. In his leisure he enjoyed reading and coin collecting and was an avid sports fan. Bob, to his family and friends, delighted in telling jokes. As a man of deep faith, Robert had been very involved in the Cursillo Movement and Kairos prison ministry. He had served as an Extraordinary Minister for the parishioners of St. Andrew Catholic Church and the residents of Crestview Center Nursing Home. He will be greatly missed as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

In addition to his beloved wife Rosalie, he is survived by his loving and devoted children: Joyce M. Bartner of Randolph, NJ; R. Mark Clark and his wife Anne of Langhorne, PA; Leslie A. Tillman of Victor, ID; Stacie L. Whiting and her husband Robert of Lititz, PA; and Denise R. Webb and her husband Robert of Oreland, PA. He is also survived by his four loving grandchildren: Matthew and Stephen Clark, and Rebecca and Mitchell Whiting.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday, August 26th, from 10:30 AM until his Funeral Mass 12 Noon at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will follow at St. Andrew Cemetery, Newtown.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Kairos Prison Ministry International: http://kpmifoundation.org/index.php
