Mary E. Maxwell Kurz of Churchville, died on Saturday, December 3, 2011, at Twining Village Health Care Center in Holland. She was 83.
She was the beloved wife of 62 years to Albert H. Kurz, Jr.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Marita Cronin Maxwell.
Mary was a resident of Churchville for over 40 years before moving in 2007 to Twining Village in Holland. She was a graduate of Roxbrough High School Class of 1945. Mary worked for over 25 years as a secretary for General Instrument Company. She was a Communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro, an avid reader and excellent seamstress. Mary was a devoted gardener and a member of the Bucks County Horticultural Society, and was the recipient of many awards for her brilliant Ming Auralia plants which she grew and nurtured.
In addition to her beloved husband, Mary is survived by her children and their spouses, Marita Rigolizzo and her husband John of Berlin, NJ, Albert H. "Skip" Kurz, III and his wife Amy of Raleigh, NC, Richard B. Kurz and his wife Susan of York, PA and Thomas P. Kurz and his companion Monica R. Bense of Yardley. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewings, Friday Dec.9 from 6:00 pm to 8:00pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd.) Richboro and on Saturday, December 10, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 654 Hatboro Rd., Richboro from 8:45am until her Funeral Mass 10:00am.
Private interment will be held Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory maybe made to the memorial fund of St. Vincent de Paul Church at the above address or National Foundation for Transplants, 5350 Poplar Ave. Suite 430 Memphis, TN 38119, “John Rigolizzo Fund”
