Katherine T. Horch Burkart of Newtown died peacefully on Monday August 25, at Chandler Hall in Newtown. She was 101.

Born in Germany, Katherine the beloved wife of the late Frederick Burkart and mother of the late Erika Squiccimara.

Katherine was a resident of the Newtown area for over 20 years. She was a faithful communicant of the Church of St. Andrew’s. Family was first and foremost in her life, her grandchildren and great grandchildren brought a sparkle to her eyes.

Katherine is survived by her devoted son and daughter-in-law Carl D. and Susanne Burkart and her 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

Katherine’s family will receive condolences on Thursday August 28, from 10:00 am until her Funeral Mass 11:00am in the Church of St. Andrew 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown.

Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
