Boleslaw “Bill” Jastrzebski of Chalfont, PA passed away unexpectedly on August 28, 2014 at Doylestown Hospital. He was 82.

Born in Poland, he was the eldest son of the late Konstanty and Konstancja (Paszkiewicz) Jastrzebski.

Bill was the beloved husband of Stephanie (Gruszka) Jastrzebski with whom he was about to celebrate 57 years of marriage on September 1, 2014.
In 1951, Bill came to the United States, gained his citizenship and served proudly with the United States Army during the Korean War era.

Following his military service, he went on to matriculate at The Pennsylvania State University, earning his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering in 1959. He enjoyed playing soccer, boxing and skiing during his youth and military service years. While at Penn State, he was a member of the boxing club and helped to found the University’s new ski club.

Bill had a passion for engineering and construction his entire life. During his years at Penn State, he also worked as a Draftsman for L.T. Beck & Associates of Phila., PA. Upon graduation, he began his career as an Engineer with Modjeski & Masters where he was involved with the design of many major projects here in the Tri-State area and nationally. After several years with M&M, Bill decided that he preferred to be involved with local projects so that he could be close to home to be with his family. He left M&M and joined Urban Engineers, Inc. and also began graduate studies at Drexel University. In 1972, Bill decided to establish his own Consulting Firm. Bill was the Founder, Chairman and President of Jastrzebski Engineers, Inc. in Chalfont, PA where he was still actively involved until his passing. Bill also served his community and dedicated himself to public service for 23 years, first as a member of the New Britain Township Planning Commission and then the Zoning Hearing Board as a Member and subsequently as Chairman. Along with his wife, he was also a member of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown from the time of its inception.

Bill was a consummate professional with a gentle demeanor. He was soft-spoken yet authoritative. He will be remembered by his family, friends and colleagues as a dearly devoted husband, dedicated father, grandfather, brother, friend and extremely hard worker. Bill was never afraid to face any challenge. His spirit and devotion to family and community was unwavering. He will be greatly missed.

In addition to his wife, Bill is survived by his children, Roman C. and Lucina S. Jastrzebski; his grandchildren, Rachel K., Christopher M. and Bryan A. Jastrzebski; and his brother Mietek Jastrzebski.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Genevieve Rzucidlo and Mary Kopecki.

Relatives, friends and colleagues are invited to pay respects and greet the family on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 from 10:30 AM-12:30 PM in the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 E. Butler Ave. (at Sandy Ridge Rd.) and to his funeral service at 1:30 PM in the Cemetery Chapel at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa, 654 Ferry Rd., Doylestown, PA 18901.
