James C. “Jim” McDonald of Doylestown, PA passed on Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia. He was 83.

He was the beloved husband of Rita Kilmer McDonald for 42 years.

Born in Nassau, Bahamas, he was the son of the late James M. and Clarice Evelyn Carey McDonald.

Jim was a long standing Insurance agent proudly representing the Allstate Insurance Company and served his clients for over 38 years in the Doylestown area before retiring in 2002. Jim was a member of the Lehigh Consistory of Allentown, Doylestown F & AM Lodge No. 245 and the Doylestown Royal Arch Lodge #270.
He was an avid golfer as well as enjoying all types of sports including the outdoor sports of hunting, fishing, and auto racing.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his six loving children; Linda L. Schuck and her husband, Robert, of San Diego, CA, Colette C. Robinson of Red Hill, PA, Juliann J. DiStefano and her husband, Alfred, of Cummings, GA, Colleen C. Lucci and her husband, Joseph, of Chalfont, PA, James C. McDonald, Jr. of Doylestown, PA, and Jeffrey C. McDonald and his wife, Daina, of New Britain, PA. Also survived by his sister, Ann Richards and her husband, Clyde, as well as by his 7 loving grandchildren and many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Bradley B. McDonald.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Wednesday evening, January 11, 2012, from 6:00PM until his Masonic Service at 7:45 PM followed by his Funeral Service 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Ave. (Route 202 & Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain, PA 18901. His interment will be held privately.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Heart Institute at Doylestown Hospital, 595 W. State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
