Howard "Lou" Lewis, of Richboro, PA passed away peacefully in his sleep on Jan. 16, 2012.

Born in Philadelphia, he served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He served with the Philadelphia Police until going into business and owning Bob A Lou and Smegy Bars. He loved sports and coached basketball and baseball for the City of Philadelphia. His Sundays were usually reserved for football and baseball.

Lou was the husband of Patricia Jayne Lewis (nee Hussey) and the late Sally Lewis (nee Orysiek). Devoted father of John Lewis (Patricia), Patricia Houwen (Dave), Joseph J. Lewis (Sandra), and the late James F. Lewis. Dear stepfather of Michael Jayne (Cara), Tracey Ashman (Michael) and Terry Zoog. Loving brother of Ed Lewis (Andrea), Joan Kastro (Stan), Margaret Adamucci (Anthony), Ann O’Brien, and Sr. Marie Lewis, SSJ. Also survived by his 19 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday from 11:30 AM until his Funeral Service 1:00 PM at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Road (at Holland Road), Richboro, PA 18954. Int. Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Special Olympics, 1133 19th Street NW, Washington, DC 20036.
