Edwin W. Bickhart Jr. of Langhorne, peacefully passed away at home on Thursday, January 19, 2012 with his devoted, caring and loving wife and precious and faithful Shih-Tzu Ming-Lee by his side. He was the beloved husband and soul mate of 30 years to Lesa Bickhart.
Ed was a resident of Langhorne and Newtown for over 35 years. He received his Bachelor of Business degree from Indiana University of PA.
He retired from Fruehauf Trailer Corporation after over 25 years as Fleet Sales Manager for the East Coast Division and started his own business for trailer sales.
Ed was a great athlete excelling at all sports and enjoyed playing golf as a member of Jericho National Golf Club, where he was known as the ‘Commissioner’. He had many talents and especially a passion for photography. He was a true friend to many and was always willing to provide a hand to those in need.
He is also survived by his sister Julie Mong and his In-law’s of Harrisburg and several loving Nieces and Nephews.
Ed’s family will receive condolences on Thursday January 26, 2012 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass 11:00 am at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore St. Newtown PA 18940. Interment will be private at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his name may be made to the Amyloidosis Foundation — 7151 N. Main St. Suite 2, Clarkstons, MI 48346
