Gertrude E. Hartnett, of Willow Grove, died on Monday, January 23, 2012, at Abington Memorial Hospital. She was 70.

She was the beloved wife of 48 years to John J. Hartnett Jr. Born in the Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Gertrude E. Hembury Gonzales and sister of the late George W. Gonzales, Jr.

“Trudy” as she was known to family and friends was a resident of Willow Grove, for the past 46 years. She was a graduate of Neshaminy High School, class of 1959. Trudy was a devoted full time wife and mother for many years and after her children were older she was employed by AmeriHealth Company retiring in 2004 after 17 years in their information department.

A woman of many talents, she excelled in family, the love and care she tenderly gave to her family was to be admired by all.

In addition to her beloved husband, Trudy is also survived by her devoted children, John J. Hartnett III (Hope Vlock) and Donna M. Rosenbaum (Bill), her 3 wonderful grandchildren, Andrew, Mary and Jessica Rosenbaum. She is also survived by her sister Patricia A. Balasco and her nephews Thomas J. Balasco, Christopher B. Balasco and Godson Michael G. Gonzales.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 9:00am until her Funeral services 10:30am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (Rt. 202 at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.
