Ida Mae Wood, of Lansdale, formerly of Lakeland, FL, died on Monday, January 23, 2012, at her daughter’s home. She was 72.

She was the beloved wife of the late James H. Wood.

Born and raised in Hampton, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Anna Mae Logan Britt and sister of the late Ward and Robert Britt.

She was a military wife and traveled throughout the United States before settling in Lakeland, FL.She worked for Lakeland Regional Medical Center as a nurse’s aide, loved watching Judge Judy, chocolate, and her cat, Baby Girl.

She is survived by her two daughters; Connie Fosberg and her husband Russell of Hastings, FL, and Margie Karpiak and her husband Scott of Lansdale, PA. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren; Joshua Rogers, Connor Rogers, Quinn Karpiak, and Jessica Finlayson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her graveside services, 12:30 PM on Monday, January 30, 2012, at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
