Virginia “Ginny” E. Ivins Foster of Holland, PA died peacefully on November 7 at Twining Manor with her loving family at her side. She was 94.

Born in Feasterville, Ginny was a lifelong resident of Bucks County. She was the beloved wife of the late William H. Foster, and daughter of the late Adaline Tomlinson Ivins and sister of the late George W. Ivins.

Ginny was a pioneer woman, she was the first female school bus driver in Bucks County, working for her grandfather. She was a sales clerk for Lennon and Merrick General Store in Feasterville during the 1940s and for over 25 years worked for Fireside Flowers in Richboro where she greeted everyone with a smile. Ginny was a woman of great faith and has been a life member of the North & Southampton Reformed Church where she taught Sunday school, was active in the Women’s Circle, the Consistory, Aid for Friends and organized trips for The Churchville Travelers. She was also a Girl Scout leader and a substitute teacher.

Ginny had the hands and patience of an artist; she made some of the most beautiful hand crafted knits, delicate crochet pieces, and various crafts. She also enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening and playing pinochle.

Ginny is survived by her daughters: Cheryl “Cheri” E. Peters (Fred); Debra J. Kiryluk (Alan); 4 granddaughters: Jennifer (Geoff), Lela (Mark), Leslie (Aaron) and Jill, and also her 4 great grandsons: Nate, Will, Gabriel and Sam.

Ginny’s family will receive condolences on Saturday, November 29, 2014 from 10am until her Memorial Service 11am at the North & Southampton Reformed Church, 1380 Bristol Rd., Churchville PA 18966. Interment was privately held at Sunset Memorial Park, Feasterville.

Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to the North & Southampton Reformed Church at the above address or the American Heart Assn, www.AmericanHeart.org  or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
