Eugene “Geno” R. Manera, of Newtown, passed peacefully on Thursday, February 9, 2012, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 77.

He was the beloved husband of 55 years to Arlene J. Erickson Manera.

Born in Detroit, MI he was the son of the late John and Victoria Pesavento Manera, and father of the late David L. Manera.

Geno graduated from Ford Trade School and worked for Ford Motor Company until 1967 when he went to work for Richard Brothers in Philadelphia where he was the general manager.

He was an avid golfer, bowler and softball player. Geno was an all around sports enthusiast. Most of all he cherished Sunday dinners with his family.

In addition to his beloved wife Arlene, Geno is survived by his two daughters; Christine Crompton-Borsavage and her husband Thomas of Ivyland and Elaine Manera-Connell. He is also survived by his three granddaughters; Jaclyn Crompton, Caitlin and Carlie Connell and many nieces and nephews.

Geno’s family will receive condolences, on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9:30AM until his Funeral Mass 11:00AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd. Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be private.
