Edwin S. Ksensik, of Newtown, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at St. Mary Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 83.
He was the beloved husband of 58 years to Dorothy Maher Ksensik. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Ludmilla H. Raab Ksensik.
Ed was a resident of Newtown for the past 47 years. He was a graduate of Frankford High School and graduated from Drexel University in 1953 with his Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. After serving in the Navy Ed was employed as a Mechanical Engineer for the Naval Air Propulsion Test Center in Trenton, NJ retiring in 1987.
Ed was a faithful parishioner and daily communicant of the Church of St. Andrew in Newtown. His faith was ever present and as a member of the Men of Malvern for 50 years, Ed faithfully made yearly retreats. He also gave his time and talents to the Woods School in Langhorne. His hobbies included gardening and fixing anything that needed repairing. Ed was a devoted husband, father and grandfather for which he will be remembered and deeply missed.
In addition to his soul mate Dorothy, he is also survived by his children and their spouses; Carol F. Olesh and her husband Daniel of Breinigsville, PA Robert E. Ksensik and his wife Linda, John J. Ksensik and his wife Terry and Kathleen A. Keyser and her husband Warren all of Newtown, one sister Sylvia L. Eyre of Bensalem. He was grandfather to Jessica Goodnack, Christopher and Ryan Ksensik, Catherine Hartman, Elizabeth, Amy and Sarah Keyser who will cherish his memory.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Monday February 20, 2012 from 10:15 AM until his Funeral Mass 11:30 AM at the Church of St. Andrew, 81 Swamp Rd., Newtown.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, Langhorne.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to Malvern Retreat House, P O Box 315, Malvern, PA 19355.
