Shaun Patrick Barton of Doylestown, died suddenly on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at his home. He was 33.
He was the beloved son of Catherine A. Coffey Barton of Doylestown and Thomas P. Barton of Edgely, PA.
He is survived by his maternal grandparents, Gerald and Ruth Craven Coffey of Holland, PA. He was the paternal grandson of the late Thomas and Helen Serbun Barton of Levittown, PA. In addition, Shaun is survived by his sister, Ann E. Barton of Yardley and by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Born at St. Mary’s Hospital, Shaun was a lifelong resident of Bucks County living most of his years in Holland. Most recently, he resided for several years in Doylestown.
Shaun was a graduate of Council Rock High School, class of 1996. He had been working since graduation in Sports Merchandising, as well as in the Marketing and Sales industry. A natural athlete, Shaun was on various state championship winning sports teams during his life. A sports enthusiast, he enjoyed both playing and attending all types of sporting events. He spent many happy times at the New Jersey seashore with his friends and family, especially with his “Pop Pop” Barton. One of his most recent enjoyable experiences was attending a spiritual retreat last year at Malvern Preparatory school with his “Granddad” Coffey. Shaun was a family man, never straying far from home and the ones who loved him. Being the first grandson on both sides of his family, he was especially close with his cousins. His aunts and uncles were more like brothers and sisters to Shaun. He will be deeply missed as a loving son, brother, grandson, nephew and cousin.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, March 16, 2012, 11:00am at the Olde Church of St. Andrew, 135 S. Sycamore St. Newtown, PA 18940. Interment will be private.
