Edward T. Jarrett, of Warrington, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Neshaminy Manor Home. He was 81.
He was the beloved husband of the late Dorothy P. Moffo Jarrett and the late Anna Fallon Jarrett. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William and Harriet Wright Jarrett.
Ed was a resident of Warrington, for the past 4 years. He attended Frankford High School in Philadelphia. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served in the M.A.G. - 26 at Cherry Point, North Carolina. Ed was a Master Diesel mechanic for all of his life having worked for Berman Leasing Company in Philadelphia from 1954 till 1967. In 1967 he and his family opened Jarrett’s Mobil Service Station located at Rt. 611 and Bristol Rd. Warrington where he worked as head mechanic until 1971. In 1971 he went to work for Hobensack’s of Ivyland and stayed until his retirement in 1995.
Ed was proud of his private pilot license which he held for many a year, flying mostly single engine planes. He was master of anything with a motor, no job was too big or too small, he was a self taught woodworker who looked forward to challenges and was excited when he overcame any obstacle and completed the project. He will be sadly missed by his loving and devoted family.
Ed is survived by his sons; W. Thomas Jarrett (Tom) and his wife Kathleen of Warrington, Edward T. Jarrett and his wife Linda of West Palm Beach, FL, his step children; Becky Kiefer and her husband Jack of Warrington, Michelle Brenner and her husband Craig of Lancaster, Michael Fallon and his wife Reyna of Gettysburg, Dennis Fallon and his wife Linda of State College, his sister Helen Teske of North Dakota, he is also the proud grandfather of 16; Matthew Jarrett (Melissa), Daniel Jarrett (Meg), Patrick Jarrett, Christopher Jarrett, Nicholas Jarrett (Cristy) and Alyssa Jarrett, Beverly Monahan, Michael Kiefer, Richard Brenner, Ann Marie Haus, Anna, Katie, Michael Jr, Dennis Jr, Jesse and Elizabeth Fallon. Great Grandfather of Braeden, Liam, Donovan, Brody, Natasha, Taylor, Tara, Tyler and Dylan.
Ed’s family will receive condolences on Monday evening March 19, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday from 10:00am until his Funeral Services 11:00 am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 241 E. Butler Ave. (Rt. 202 at Sandy Ridge Rd.) New Britain PA. Interment will be private.
