Ida Bickum of Warrington passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at Neshaminy Manor Home. She was 91.

Ida was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence E. Bickum.

Born in Regensburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fridolin and Franziska Rieder Schellerer and the sister of the late Louise Dupre and mother-in-law of the late Thomas E. Carpitella and grand mother of the Thomas Carpitella, Jr.

Ida was a former resident of Philadelphia and Newtown, PA before moving to Neshaminy Manor Home in 2009. She enjoyed reading, sewing, music, traveling to various locations. Ida was a member of the Newtown Senior Fellowship in Newtown and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Ida is survived by her children, Shirley Carpitella of Newtown and Fred Bickum of Florida. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Diane and Barbara and her three great grandchildren, Karl, Jr., Candace and Victoria.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, March 17, 2012 from 10:00am until her Funeral Service 11:00am at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd. (at Holland Rd. ) Richboro.

Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia.
