Anthony J. “Pete” Tripodi, of Doylestown, PA died on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at his home. He was 72.
He was the beloved husband of 49 years to Andrea Carlin Tripodi.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Peter and Stephani De Lorenzo Tripodi and brother of the late Thomas Tripodi and sister-in-law, Angela Cusick Tripodi.
Pete grew up in the Pennypack Section of Philadelphia, went to Father Judge high school, Temple University and he served five years in the United states Navy. He also spent time serving the community as a police officer in Philadelphia.
Pete then worked with his father-in-law, Charles A. Carlin at Home Builders Insulation. His dedication, hard work and dynamic personality expanded the business over many years. The company eventually evolved into A. Tripod Associates that with the help of his wife Andrea, they owned and operated with their oldest son, serving the community in various forms of contracting for 50 years. Two of his sons continue the legacy serving all the nearby counties in independent companies.
Pete was very involved for many years with the Knights of Columbus and entertained locally as a member of the state street players. He was constantly participating in charitable events and making donations through his love of golf. Pete was a member at Spring Mill Country Club, and will be greatly missed by so many.
In addition to his loving wife, Pete is survived by his three sons; Peter (Christine) Tripodi, Andrew (Laura) Tripodi, Mark (Meghan) Tripodi and seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Stephanie, Caroline, Sarah, Anna, Issabella and Brianna.
