Nancy (Anna) M. Wallace McCay, 93 of Langhorne, PA died on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Crestview Nursing Home, Langhorne with her family by her side.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lawrence J. McCay Sr.
Born in Cornwells Heights PA, Nancy was the daughter of the late Elmer and Anna Donnelly Wallace. She is also predeceased by her sisters Margaret, Irma and Mary and great grandson Connor McCay.
She attended Little Flower High School in Philadelphia. She and her husband raised their children in North East Philadelphia and spent many happy years in Sweetwater NJ. Nancy was a resident of Bucks County for the past15 years.
She retired in 1965, after over 20 years as an Administrative Assistant at RCA in Cherry Hill, NJ. Nancy was a talented seamstress and made clothing for her children and herself. She enjoyed reading and listening to classical and modern music. In her mid 70’s Nancy began painting and over the past years has become quite talented, with many paintings of which she was very proud.
She will be deeply missed by her loving and caring family including two sons and their spouses; Lawrence J. Jr. (Ann )of Cherry Hill NJ and Daniel C.( Arleen) of Churchville PA. Also surviving are her sisters, Joan Grondahl and Rita Hamilton. She was the proud grandmother of; Larry J. III (Coleen), Michael (Tina), Timothy (Amy), Jeffrey (Christine), Patrick (Amy), as well as of 10 Great grandchildren.
Nancy’s family will receive condolences Wednesday March 28, from 12:30 pm until her Memorial Service 1:30 pm at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home 800 Newtown-Richboro Rd.(at Holland Rd.) Richboro.
Interment will be private in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont.
In lieu of flowers contributions in her memory maybe made to Children’s Hospital, 34th and Civic Center Blvd. Phila PA 19104 or the La Jolla Art Association, 8100 Passeo Del Ocaso, La Jolla CA 92137
