Marie Guastella died on April 5, 2012 surrounded by her family at the Neshaminy Manor Nursing Home in Warrington, PA. She was 98 years old.

Born April 8, 1913 in NY, NY, she was the beloved wife of the late Salvatore “Sam” Guastella for 57 years. Marie was also predeceased by her two brothers, Joe Ceresia of Westbury NY and John Ceresia of Closter, NJ.

Marie grew up in Flushing, NY before moving to New Jersey. Marie and Sam raised their family in Middlesex, NJ, and later resided in Tuckerton, Florida and the Doylestown area.

Marie is survived by her three children, Phillip of Bridgewater NJ, Jean (Barry) of Doylestown PA and Richard (Cheryl) of Clinton NJ. She is also survived by her five grandchildren, Sarah (Mike), Lauren, Jessica, Annette, and David; and her two great-grandchildren, Eva Rose and Isaac.

Throughout her life, Marie enjoyed reading, the opera, cooking and visiting the beach. Most of all, she enjoyed family gatherings with all of the Italian traditions.
Prior to her 2 years at Neshaminy Manor, she resided at New Seasons in New Britain, PA for almost 5 years. Marie was an active resident throughout her nineties and participated in an array of activities. Marie will be sadly missed as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend.

Marie’s interment was held privately at Doylestown Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
